They assist the NGOs in conducting various health awareness camps. They educate the village community in the necessity of maintaining good hygiene and proper sanitary conditions. They conserve the nature they producing the products which are recyclable and non polluting to the environment. They also use locally available raw materials to produce products thereby help in avoiding people moving out to urban areas in search of livelihood. In short the activities of SHGs are not only revolving around savings and credits but also integrating the socio- economical and health issues in to the various agendas of the groups.
